29ft Utility
The following was from a press release plus some comments from the owner:
This is a 29′ aluminum utility/fishboat (lobster) recently launched in and fished off southern California.
The photos shows hull no. 1, which is powered by a single 225 hp John Deere coupled to a Konrad I/O leg. Speed (no traps) about 21 knots. Owner reports good handling under all load and sea states.
Hey John,
Just got back from the small island I bought in the Caribbean. The boat made it down without a hitch. One picture shows the boat being craned into the clear blue water. She handles like a dream, goes good both up hill and down. Had it out in 4 foot seas with a heavy wind chop and went right along. With full 230 gallons of fuel and 75 gallons of water in swim step tank, on flat water at 2800 rpm she does 27.5 mph. Boat has a lot of deck room and has earned it’s keep.
Thanks for designing a great boat; she turns all the heads down there in Honduras.
